The Design Museum signage
Project Description
As CAD Designer and CAD and Design Manager at Cobal Sign Systems, I was fortunate to be able to collaborate in this extraordinary project.
Under the specifications of the creative partners, I developed all the production drawings for all the internal and external signage of The Design Museum.
This project have a large variety of objects and materials. Starting with a set of flag poles on Kensington High Street, passing through the 3D aluminium letters on the passage way and the CNC engraved Corian panels and the CNC cut letters on the Museum entrance, to the wood room names and graphics.
My work in this projects spanned through the following stages:
- Approval - translated the creative partners design intent onto drawings that were suitable for Cobal Sign Systems production methods.
- Production - developed production strategies and methods to achieve the required high level of quality and to ensure the maximum profitability of the company. Execution of production drawings with all production details.
- Installation - developed installation strategies and methods to ensure health and safety compliance, to ensure safe arrival of materials to site and to ensure quick and precise ways to install all signage. Execution of installation drawings and instructions.
